DANA POINT'S DENNIS GABRICK INDUCTED INTO INTERIORSCAPE HALL OF FAME …A MAN INVOLVED IN HIS COMMUNITY
DANA POINT, Calif -- The California Interior Plantscape Association announced
Dennis Gabrick as its 2004 inductee into the Interiorscape Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors individuals who have given their time, effort and talents to develop the interiorscape industry.
Gabrick moved to Dana Point in 1987. As President /CEO of Preserved TreeScapes International (PTI), Gabrick creates, develops, and manufactures preserved, replica, fabricated plants and trees that resolve specific landscape problems in many marketplaces. PTI’s creations grace over 6,000 installations at the most prestigious hotels, spas, malls, and airports around the world. “At the heart of our preserved trees and plants is the concept of botanically correct, lush gardens that recreate nature. Every step in our meticulous manufacturing process is designed to create the most realistic preserved trees and plants in the world,” said Gabrick. PTI also manufactures trees for cellular concealment; they are fabricated to blend into any natural, existing outdoor landscape environment, and may also house security cameras and lighting, or meet any other design needs. All of PTI’s creations require no water, special drainage or sunshine, and are not plagued by bugs or pests. The beauty and benefits of PTI’s products were confirmed recently when the Associated Landscape Contractors of America recognized PTI with its coveted Grand Merit Award for the installation of the world’s tallest (55-feet) preserved bamboo grove at the new Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport Hotel. See PTI’s Web site for more photos of Gabrick’s majestic bamboo groves, palm trees, and other products; even cotton candy trees. www.treescapes.com.

Gabrick’s love of nature flows into his love of the ocean. His boat, “Dances with Waves” calls Dana Point “Homeport.” She won two awards (Most Original and Judge’s Choice) in the Dana Point Harbor 2003, Christmas Boat Parade of Lights, “Scenes of the Season”.
Gabrick is active in the Sunrise Rotary, and works with the Ocean Institute in many of their educational programs. He sponsors trips for school kids to experience marine life on the Ocean Institute’s vessel, Explorer, and serves as auctioneer and emcee for the annual “Jazz-in- January” fundraiser. Dennis invites any golfer to attend the April 18 Pre- Golf Gala, hosted by the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel, with a silent and live auction; and, Monday, April 19 Golf Tournament at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club. All activities benefit the nonprofit Ocean Institute. For more information contact Suzanne Akulian-Perez , Special Event Manager, at 949-496-2274, ext. 412 or sakulian@ocean-institute.org.
We’re tipping our hat to community leader and local Dana Point resident, Dennis Gabrick as our “Citizen-of-the-Week.”
