Columns are necessary for support, but they do not have to remain the cold, hard structures in the middle of the room that detract from the design. Regardless of the diameter or the type of column, Preserved TreeScapes International can transform your support column into something creative that adds to the character of the establishment.

You can choose the type of bark and foliage you would like, the diameter of the trunk and whether you want a flair at the base of the trunk or a straighter more cylindrical look, with branches or without,  whether it tapers up to the top or disappears into the ceiling to camouflage pipes, ducts and other unsightly elements.  Often the mitigating factors such as elements, ceiling height or available space will help to determine this.

We will need the height and diameter of your existing column in order to create the shell that encases it. The shell or trunk is created at our factory, and then cut in half.	Once on site, both pieces are premeasured and the column is inspected. Both halves are presented, secured, and then trimmed or notched as needed.
Both pieces are then strapped into place, glued at the seams and foamed.	Once the glue and foam have set, the embossing and texturing of the seams begins and branches are added. After all materials have cured the final touch up paint is applied and final foliage reshape is done.

Having a column “wrap” or makeover can change the dull to dramatic.
